Im going to teach you how to bypass the R6T3 resistor. This will protect your jtag from any accidental updates causing you to brick your console. With this done you will get an error (rrod) if you update, but you can easily flash your image back with usb or ltp nand reader.
First you will need to disassemble your xbox (if you cant do this you shouldn't even attempt this)
Now that you have your xbox apart and have access to the bottom of your motherboard
you need to locate these points (under the cpu xclamp near the front)

these points need to be bridged (make sure you ONLY bridge those 2 points)

Now you can reassemble your console and you have successfully bypassed the R6T3 resistor and are now safe from unwanted updates that will brick your console
